Talk while you try the product
Open Voice feedback in the website toolbar when the project has enabled it. Open Session options to choose whether Astor may ask when needed or should let you finish. A changed question mode or Record this tab choice stays visible when the options are closed. Review the total session allowance before starting, then grant microphone permission.
Describe what you are doing and what seems wrong. Explain corrections naturally; you can also edit the proposals later. Independent problems can become separate observations.
Control the session
The compact toolbar shows listening status and the number of prepared observations. Use Pause when you do not want to capture speech. Use Finish & review when you are done.
If you allowed page captures, review the masked stills before sharing them. Optional recording of the website tab stays on your device and is not uploaded automatically. Download a local recording before leaving the page if you want to keep it.
Browser support varies, especially for screen sharing on mobile. Reloading or navigating away can interrupt the session; saved speech can be recovered, but a local video may be lost.
Review what to share
Edit, combine, split or remove prepared observations. Resolve useful questions and check the chosen capture. Confirm selected feedback sends only your chosen observations to Inbox.
Use Your answer to reply to a clarification, then choose Use my answer. Astor keeps your title, type and proposal edits with the reply. An interrupted save leaves your answer available to retry. A saved reply appears as Answered clarification; genuinely unresolved details stay visible under Still to clarify. Check and edit the proposal before confirming it. Answering in writing does not start another preparation just to process that reply.
If the feedback is updated elsewhere, your unsaved edits and answers stay available. Review the latest saved feedback, then choose Keep my field edits or Use latest feedback before saving. Keeping edits retains the fields you changed while using the current source links and questions. It cannot restore an observation removed or already sent to Inbox elsewhere.
If a question is no longer open, Your unsent answer remains available to copy or discard. It has not been added to the feedback or sent as an answer to a different question.
What you said keeps the original speech and your written replies available for review. Open Your session input to read all your input in order, in separate paragraphs. Astor’s questions are not presented as your words. The confirmed ticket preserves the questions as Astor’s words and the answers as yours.
Optional captures load when you open What you said. Closing it stops unfinished image requests; an already loaded capture is reused when you reopen it. Your redactions stay in place. If a capture is unavailable, the written feedback remains available.
This confirmation is separate from the team’s decision to implement anything. Preparation problems leave manual review available.
If preparation is interrupted, Astor keeps your spoken input available and explains the interruption. Choose Add observation from my input, edit the result and confirm what to share. This does not start a new Voice session or add an observation charge. A late preparation reply cannot replace a newer attempt.
Cost and retention
Voice uses the project’s shared capacity. The quoted session includes its preparation and clarification; there is no small extra charge for each observation or question. The exact quote is shown before connection.
New sessions retain their accepted rates for live audio and observation-sorting cost estimates, including after a pause. These internal estimates do not create an extra charge or expose project finances to testers. Provider invoices are separate from estimates.
Private session text and media expire after seven days. Access ends at expiry; scheduled cleanup removes the private originals and older retry copies. Discarding removes them immediately. Late replies cannot restore discarded or expired speech.
Confirmed feedback retains the relevant original speech and selected screenshot separately. Minimal retry references prevent the same request from starting another paid session; they do not contain the transcript. A new session needs a new explicit start with its current allowance. See Captures, recordings & privacy for the differences between Voice and recorded Missions.
