Your account follows you between projects

You can create an account without adding your own project. Your projects stays empty until you add a project or join an invitation. Creating the account does not start a subscription or website analysis.

An app link shows Opening Astor… while the app loads. If it cannot open, choose Refresh to retry the same destination. Signing in and your current project access are still required.

Open the profile icon beside your name and role at the bottom of the sidebar, then choose Your account. On mobile, the profile icon is in the top bar. Help & docs opens troubleshooting in a separate tab and is available to testers too. The same menu contains Connected tools when your current project role allows access. Your profile and sign-in belong to your account; project role and access belong to each project separately.

Open the project dropdown, then choose Your projects to see every project you can access. Use the same dropdown to switch projects or choose Add project. On mobile, tap the project name on the left of the top bar. Use the bottom navigation for Inbox, Tickets, Missions and, when permitted, Live. More opens the other sections available to your role, including Project context, Users and Project settings. Close that menu with Close navigation or Escape. These controls remain available while project data opens.

Minimize menu changes the desktop sidebar to icons; Expand menu brings the labels back. Hover or focus an icon to see its label. Astor remembers this display choice for your signed-in account in this browser. It does not change project access.

When Astor receives a changed project role or review scope, it clears the previous private view and reloads what your current access allows. Ordinary updates in the same access context keep the current view available.

Profile saves, cancellation of a pending email change, project creation and invitation acceptance check that your account session is still active when the request arrives. An ended session cannot complete a rejected change. In the account and project-setup views, Astor removes the earlier private view and opens sign-in again. If a save succeeded but the following reload lost access, the saved change remains; sign in and check your profile or projects before retrying. Ending a different browser's session does not end this one.

Manage your projects

Your projects has one view with Active and Archived tabs. Choose Add project to create your own project, or Open project on a card to open its workspace.

Adding a project without website research does not start AI work. You can save it and continue installation when research is unavailable, or add context manually later. An additional Pro project still needs payment activation before research can start.

Owners and admins can choose Manage project on a card to edit its name and client space. The dialog also links to environments and project settings. Project names and the project dropdown update after saving. Project-team roles with configuration access can open settings from the card’s name or Settings link and open Project context beside the management button. Owners and admins can edit that context; product and developer roles can read it.

An unrestricted workspace owner or admin can choose Archive project in the management dialog. Archiving requires a fresh preview and the exact project name. Find archived projects under Archived in the same Your projects view, even when no active projects remain. Restore project keeps saved feedback and test results; Live and automation stay paused.

Archive project keeps the project for restoration. It is not permanent erasure. It blocks project access and pauses collection while keeping saved material for restoration. It does not erase shared accounts, payment records or provider backups.

Archiving or restoring a project does not start AI work. Start any new work separately and review its cost first.

Project restrictions still apply. Being a tester in one project or managing another project does not grant access to its management controls.

Team role and testing focus

An admin or product role defines what you can do in the project. Your profession or testing focus describes your perspective as a participant; it does not grant administrative permission.

A person can be a teammate in one project and a tester in another. Joining a project does not create a paid personal subscription.

Project roles never grant Astor operator access. Organization and project permissions remain server-controlled.

Your email domain does not automatically join you to a company. Project invitations and current memberships decide access, including for connected tools. Losing a company’s access keeps your account and independent memberships in other companies available.

Returning to Your projects refreshes your current memberships. If the project you were viewing is no longer available, Astor clears that project’s open detail and chooses a project you can still access.

Sign in and maintain credentials

Use the sign-in choices currently shown by Astor. When optional ChatGPT sign-in is unavailable, Astor shows a short notice and the email form. Email sign-in does not require a ChatGPT account. An API key for models does not enable ChatGPT account sign-in.

Open Sign-in & security in Your account to change your email or password. Enter your current password to confirm the change.

Change email sends separate confirmation links to your current and new inboxes. Confirm both within 30 minutes; your sign-in email stays the same until then. You can open both links in the same tab; each link requires its own confirmation. You can cancel a pending change in Your account. After both confirmations, sign in again with your new address. Previously signed-in browsers and toolbar sessions are ended, and both inboxes receive a change notice when delivery is available.

Change password keeps this browser signed in with a new session and ends your other sign-in sessions. Astor also sends a security notice when delivery is available. Confirmation links and notices start delivery after the change is saved, without waiting for another person to use Astor. Temporary delivery failures are retried; a saved change does not prove a message reached your inbox.

If you forgot your password, use Forgot password on the sign-in page. Follow the emailed link within 30 minutes and choose a new password. Used, cancelled or expired links cannot be used again.

An account action starts delivery only for the messages created by that action. A saved request or accepted delivery is not confirmation that the email reached your inbox.

Expired account links and their queued email copies are cleaned up even when email delivery is unavailable. Valid links keep their existing deadline; cleanup does not send mail or change your account.

Choose Sign out in Your account to end this browser’s Astor session. Astor then opens the sign-in page, where you can sign in again or create an account. Other browsers stay signed in. If sign-out cannot complete, the account page shows the error so you can retry.

Open the right workspace

Follow Astor’s sign-in or project link. In a signed-in website toolbar, use Account options → Open project in Astor; a personal test-link toolbar keeps its direct Astor link. These supported project links keep the selected project when you sign in. Signing in does not start a purchase or grant access to another project. Sign out of feedback ends only the website’s current feedback access; it is separate from signing out of Your account.

Sessions belong to the address where you signed in. If Astor asks you to sign in again after opening a workspace at another official Astor address, use the same account. Your memberships still decide which projects you can open. Do not copy session cookies or credentials between addresses.

Invitation problems

Sign in with the exact email address used in the invitation. Ask the project team for a new link if it expired or was revoked. Leaving or losing access to one project does not remove the rest of your account.

Never paste account credentials, API keys or personal invitation tokens into feedback or tickets.

Too many sign-in attempts

If Astor asks you to wait, keep your details and try again later. Repeated sign-in attempts cannot change your saved feedback or project permissions.

Sign-in limits apply to the requesting network address and email address. People on the same network can share an address limit; switching networks does not bypass the limit for an email address.
